Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids all love Music Together®! Our playful music classes for kids support every child, no matter their learning style or stage of development. Each weekly class includes lots of music activities especially created for young children, led by a trained teacher who inspires everyone to join in the fun.
- Babies: Chances are, you’ve seen a glimpse of the music-maker inside your new little one, as he coos and wiggles when you sing a nursery rhyme or starts moving when you put on your favorite song. At birth, infants are already alert to musical sounds and naturally responsive to volume, movement, tempo, and melody. Read more about babies and music on the Music Together Worldwide blog.
- Toddlers: Toddlers are curious little people. They’re starting to explore the world and themselves and learning more about communicating with their grownups and peers. Music can help your toddler better understand all of these brand new experiences by giving her a valuable tool for relaxing, focusing, and expressing emotions.
- Preschoolers: Preschoolers are overflowing with creativity, and making music with them is so much fun. When picking activities for your 3-, 4-, or 5-year-old, a music class is a great choice. Regular exposure to a musically rich environment fosters your child's music skills as well as growth and development in many other areas essential to success in school and life.
- Children with Special Needs: Because it integrates the mind, body, and emotions, music can transform the lives of all children. Children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorders or physical, cognitive, or neurological impairments, are welcome in any of our classes. With our “accept-and-include” philosophy, understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and our respect for different learning styles, children with special needs often thrive in our music classes. While Music Together® classes are not therapeutic intervention, the inclusive family music-making experience may complement your child’s therapies, while providing an activity your whole family can enjoy together.
